The Michigan Department of Transportation is responsible for the monitoring and evaluation of 119,000 miles in the State of Michigan. Through the QBS process, MDOT selected GHA to perform a myriad of data collection activities on an “as-needed” basis, including Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) counts, video Turning Movement Counts (TMC’s), video traffic volume counts, bicycle and pedestrians counts, and in some cases, manual and gap studies. Total of counts to date is 302.
