The Rockefeller-McCormick-Loch Ravine Design project by Gewalt Hamilton Associates Inc. (GHA) focused on enhancing the environmental infrastructure and aesthetic appeal of the ravine area, addressing both ecological and structural concerns. This project presented unique challenges, requiring adept management of three individual areas, all featuring city-maintained storm sewer outlets on private properties without established easements. GHA coordinated with City staff to engage with property owners to secure permissions and address project impacts, reflecting our tailored approach to private property concerns.

DESIGN AND PLANNING (PHASES I & II):

GHA conducted comprehensive design and planning for the Rockefeller-McCormick-Loch Ravine Design project. This included a detailed Wetland Field Investigation and Delineation Report, Land Surveying Services for topographical analysis, and Preliminary Engineering. GHA prepared a preliminary geometric plan and an Engineer’s Opinion of Probable Cost, performing detailed field reconnaissance and collaborating with City staff for design coordination.

CONSTRUCTION ENGINEERING (PHASE III):

GHA prepared final engineering plans, including securing necessary permits, and creating construction documents. GHA was also responsible for Construction Bid & Oversight Services, which involved pre-bid meetings, coordinating with contractors, reviewing bids, and field visits during construction, and participating in punch-list walk-throughs.
