Gewalt Hamilton Associates, Inc. (GHA) successfully completed the McHenry West Campus Ballfields project for McHenry Community High School District 156, delivering comprehensive engineering and construction services. This project strengthens our long-standing relationship with the district, where we have consistently executed successful projects. Beginning construction in July 2023 and completing it by Thanksgiving allowed for the first game to be scheduled for March 2024, showcasing GHA’s commitment to timely and efficient project management.

Our work on this project helped successfully transform an existing soccer field into a state-of-the-art baseball facility. Our expert stormwater management was pivotal in performing a mass re-grading, a key aspect of developing the new baseball field. The field’s new features, including a concrete backstop with an integrated 40-foot-high net and net posts, enhance the functionality of the space. These features also included a brand-new synthetic turf infield, bullpen areas, and built-in prefabricated dugouts. This project not only enhances the athletic infrastructure of McHenry Community High School but also reinforces GHA’s dedication to creating well-integrated, community-centric spaces.
