Summer   Internship   Program

Gewalt Hamilton Associates, Inc.’s (GHA) summer internship program offers a great experience for individuals working towards a degree in civil engineering, surveying, wetland consultation and construction management.  Not only does the program satisfy the instructional sphere of education with classes on AutoCad, cost estimating, and storm water management, but it also allows students to gain a background in practical application. Such practical activities include engineering design, using AutoCAD and Microstation, survey data collection, traffic data collection and field observation.

Intern Mentor Program

Interns at GHA spend their summer working with individuals of similar ages and interests on a wide variety of tasks.  Interns will get to know other college students interested in similar fields and work with each other completing assignments.  Each intern has a mentor from the seasoned staff at GHA and is engaged in a wide variety of tasks. At the conclusion of the summer season, we plan a company picnic where students are asked to make a short presentation about their experience during the summer. Prizes are given out for the best presentations. Other activities include outings to baseball games and company luncheons.

The summer intern program is a paid opportunity offered by GHA and is unique in that the intern is not seen only as an individual attempting to bolster their resume, but as an integral part of assisting GHA in providing an excellent service to our Clients.
