Senior Engineer

With more than 15 years of civil engineering experience, Mei has concentrated her career on site development and water resources engineering, specializing in the design, permitting and construction of stormwater management facilities and conveyance systems for site developments, and roadway improvements. She leads the water resources team at GHA and is the primary engineer responsible for the preparation of drainage investigations, location drainage studies, and hydrologic and hydraulic studies for bridge rehabilitation and replacement projects.

Mei holds Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Tongji University (China), Masters of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Xi’an Institute of Metallurgy and Construction Engineering (China), and a Masters of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Louisiana State University. She is a Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Illinois, a Certified Floodplain Manager, as well as a Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control. In addition, Mei received the US Green Building Council’s designation as an Accredited Professional in Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED). She remains active in the industry through memberships in a number of professional organizations.

Mei and her husband have two creative daughters who are both very interested in art. The family travels to China every summer, a tradition which has helped instill the girls’ love of their Chinese heritage.
